Blended gift honors a
family's legacy

Blended gift honors a <br>family's legacy

"The impact of Northwest on my family is impossible to put into words. However, the success of the many students who have received the Burton L. Richey Memorial Scholarship since 1981 is an indication of the importance of establishing scholarships for the future. To be a part of a legacy by giving back to Northwest through student scholarships and estate planning was, and continues to be, our family's gift."

The Richey family is truly a Northwest family. Burton and Roberta are both Northwest graduates, Burton was a faculty member, and their children, Julee and Scott, attended Horace Mann and are Northwest graduates. Through the years of being students, faculty and Bearcat supporters, Northwest instilled in the Richeys the importance of establishing a lasting legacy. Roberta and her family are thankful the Northwest Foundation makes it possible for all graduates to provide additional support to the University by naming Northwest in their estate planning.

Please contact the Office of University Advancement at (660) 562-1248 or [email protected] for more details on becoming a member of the James H. Lemon Heritage Society.
